Hello, I am Esther Licensed Massage Therapist and together with my hubby Steve we own Massage Revive. We are happy to serve the people of Wooster bringing to you Ashiatsu and Medical Massage. Ashiatsu Massage is massage using my feet. It provides a wonderful pressure on the deep muscles of the body. Both of our massage options are customizable to each individual as every person is different.
I am the "sole" therapist at our office and I love what I do. At a young age I held massage in awe watching another professional work on my family. My mother at the time was pregnant and massage was her way of find relief in the general discomforts and stresses.
I was so excited to start this journey which began in 2020. I graduated 2021 ready to take on the newfound skills. I have since moved forward in massage and education and provide Rock Taping, Aromatherapy, Ashiatsu, and Swedish Massage. My husband and I hope to help others find the relief from pain, tension, discomfort that life brings. He was my first client and will always be my biggest supporter.
About Ashiatsu
Ashiatsu is a massage technique that involves the application of the practitioner’s feet, rather than the hands or arms, to a patient’s body. In Japanese, ashi means foot, and atsu means pressure; so it literally translates to foot pressure.
During an Ashiatsu massage, therapists use their bare feet to deliver deep compression, long gliding strokes, and/or assisted stretching. Reading that, you might feel apprehensive about receiving an Ashiatsu treatment. You may wonder if having your back walked on will be intense, painful, or even scary. Don’t worry, though! Ashiatsu therapists have full control over how your body is treated, and the massage is tailored to your needs just as a deep tissue or Swedish massage would be.
